Cam Newton (shoulder) to sit preseason opener

Fantasy Impact:
He sustained the injury last season and missed the final two games of the regular season because of it. The injury is to his throwing shoulder, and it remains to be seen how the injury will impact his throwing motion moving forward. Newton completed a career-high 67.9 percent of his passes last season in 14 appearances. Kyle Allen will start, and Will Grier will get some reps in Newton's absence.
