Derwin James expected to miss three to four months

Cornerback Derwin James is expected to be out for three to four months for the Los Angeles Chargers. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

It was originally thought that James would only miss up to a maximum of three months, after he suffered a stress fracture in his right foot last week but unfortunately, that has now changed. Adam Schefter on Twitter has reported that James had bent a screw that was placed in his foot during his freshman year at Florida State. As a result, he will need to have this removed during his surgery which is scheduled for this Thursday. With a lengthy recovery ahead for the star corner, fellow teammate Adrian Phillips will take James' spot for the time being.
