After two strong preseason efforts, rookie Ryan Finley has likely "cemented himself" as Andy Dalton's top backup. (ESPN.com)

The fourth-rounder out of NC State has impressed in the preseason, and he played ahead of Jeff Driskel in Week 2, tossing two TDs. The backup job is important, as Dalton has continued to underachieve, going 5-6 in 11 starts last season, while missing time with a thumb injury. New Cincinnati head coach Zac Taylor may not give Dalton as long a leash as Marvin Lewis did.
