Eli Manning remains the starter in New York, according to Pat Shurmur

When asked about the team's quarterback situation, Giants head coach Pat Shurmur said on Friday that "Eli’s our starter, and we’re getting Daniel ready to play. (Jones) has done a good job in the preseason. He’s getting better and he’s going to do continue to do that, so that at whatever time we need him to play, he'll be ready." (Bob Glauber on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Manning remains the starter in New York, but Pat Shurmur is making it pretty clear that the team has been impressed with Daniel Jones and would not be hesitant to turn to him at some point this season. Manning is already a low-end option in fantasy at this point in his career, and the possibility that he could lose the job to Daniel Jones at some point this season makes him an even less attractive option.
