Michael Crabtree signs one-year contract with Cardinals

by Mark Leipold | Sun, Aug 25th 2:09pm EDT

The Arizona Cardinals signed WR Michael Crabtree to a 1-year deal worth $3.25M, as reported by NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Crabtree's salary can increase to a maximum value of $5.5M this season. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

This comes in the wake of an injury that will likely land fourth-round rookie Hakeem Butler on IR. Crabtree steps into a decently deep WR corps, featuring Larry Fitzgerald and Christian Kirk as established options, and likely rookie Andy Isabella as a gadget and field stretcher option in three-wide sets. This move could bump Isabella out of a starting role, but Crabtree will find it tough to see reliable volume. He should be viewed as a dart throw at best, with some red zone upside.
