Newton has been dealing with a left mid-foot sprain, which he suffered in the Panthers' third preseason game. This is positive news that Newton should be all systems go for the Week 1 regular season opener against the Rams. Newton will continue to work with the first-team offense as they begin its preparation for Week 1.
