Brian Hoyer released by Patriots

The New England Patriots are releasing Brian Hoyer, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The long-time backup to Tom Brady is presumably making way for the impressive rookie Jarrett Stidham to assume the backup role.
Fantasy Impact:
Hoyer has no fantasy juice left, but this news is good for Jarrett Stidham, who has been very impressive all preseason. Stidham should be scooped up in Superflex Dynasty leagues but has no place on seasonal league rosters yet. However, his outlook is certainly trending upward now, and he could be on the fantasy radar relatively soon.
