Melvin Gordon won’t get extension from Chargers

Chargers GM Tom Telesco said on a conference call today that any contract extension talks with hold out running back Melvin Gordon will be postponed till after the season. (Adam Schefter on Twitter )

Barring a trade, Gordon can either play 2019 with the Chargers for $5.6 million or sit out the season. Gordon and his representation were given permission to seek a trade, but they are no longer willing to discuss a contract extension. Based on the recent news, he is in real danger of missing Week 1 and more.
