Giovani Bernard inks two-year extension

Giovani Bernard has agreed to a two-year, $10.3 million extension with the Cincinnati Bengals that will keep him under contract through 2021, Tom Pelissero reports. (Tom Pelissero on Twitter )
Fantasy Impact:
Bernard has been one of the best backup RBs in the NFL in his six seasons, and he’ll get some roster security for the next two years. Bernard had a down year in 2018-19 but averaged a healthy 992 scrimmage yards and 46 receptions per season from 2013-2018. He has minimal value right now, but he would be a hot commodity on the waiver wire if Joe Mixon was forced to miss time.
