David Montgomery sees just seven touches in NFL debut

David Montgomery rushed six times for 18 yards and caught his only target for 27 yards in the Bears’ 10-3 loss to the Packers on Thursday.
Fantasy Impact:
It was a disappointing night for Montgomery owners, as the highly-touted rookie finished with the fewest touches in Chicago's backfield. Mike Davis (11) and Tarik Cohen (8) were both more involved in the offense, and thoughts of a workhorse role for the rookie seem to have dissipated in 60 minutes. This was a tough, divisional matchup in which the Bears could only muster three points, so gamescript didn't favor Montgomery. It is concerning, however, that Davis and Cohen combined for 14 receptions on 17 targets compared to just one reception on one target for Montgomery. Expectations should be tempered moving forward, especially in PPR formats.
