Antonio Brown said there’s “no way I play” after the Raiders fined him more than $215 thousand, voided his guaranteed money, and put him on a week-to-week contract. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter )

This is the apparent impetus for Brown’s Instagram post Saturday morning requesting a release from Oakland. According to sources, Brown received a letter earlier in the week from GM Mike Mayock informing him that if he’s released, he will receive no termination pay. It’s the first time Brown has publicly stated he won’t play, and it seems his time in the black and silver has come to a dramatic and unfortunate end. More is sure to come shortly, with just two days until Oakland’s season-opener against Denver.
