Greg Olsen (back) misses Tuesday's practice, plans to play Thursday

Greg Olsen missed Monday and Tuesday's practice with a back injury. Olsen said that he 'tweeked his back' against the Rams on Sunday. The tight end continued by saying 'a short week is not ideal but I plan to play.' (Max Henson on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Olsen missing the first two practices of the week, combined with the fact it is Thursday Night Football, makes me bearish on the tight end. Any form of practice on Wednesday would increase his chances of playing on Thursday. However, if he misses practice on Wednesday, he will likely sit out or be a game-time decision. Olsen does have an injury history but the 34-year old tight end does not have a history with back injuries. Based on the information available, you should be skeptical of his game status and you should make plans to play Week 2 without him.
