Derrius Guice underwent surgery to trim his torn meniscus Thursday and is out indefinitely, Ian Rapoport reports. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter )
Fantasy Impact:
It’s a worst case scenario for Guice, who remains in Pensacola, FL with specialist Dr. James Andrews, who performed the operation. The original 6-8 week timeframe for his recovery has quickly changed to “indefinitely,” and he’s a safe drop in redraft formats. Adrian Peterson will start Week 2, with Chris Thompson chipping in some carries and occupying his typical passing-downs role. Washington is likely to explore options to sign or trade for another back in light of Guice’s procedure.
