Ben Roethlisberger needs elbow surgery, done for season

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is set to undergo elbow surgery this week that will keep him sidelined for the remainder of 2019. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Roethlisberger had an MRI today that revealed the extent of the injury. There were reports that he was dealing with an elbow issue last week, though he never once appeared on the injury report. Mason Rudolph is set to take over for Pittsburgh. This is obviously a downgrade for all Steelers skill players, primarily top wideout JuJu Smith-Schuster.
