Fantasy Impact:
Both hand specialists Brees visited the past two days determined he will need surgery to address the ligament damage to his thumb. A timeline won’t be announced until after his surgery, but it has been reported that he will miss 6-to-8 weeks. Brees could be a candidate for the injured reserve to afford the Saints roster flexibility. Terry Bridgewater will be the Saints starting quarterback while Brees is sidelined.
