Drew Brees’ surgery on his thumb was a success and is hoping to return in approximately six weeks. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Brees will most likely avoid the injured reserve and the original six-week timetable is not out of reach. Terry Bridgewater and/or Taysom Hill will be under center through at least the end of October. Hang onto Brees in two quarterback and deep league formats, but he can be safely dropped in short bench leagues.
