Cam Newton dealing with Lisfranc injury

Fantasy Impact:
Newton’s foot injury is much more serious than previously expected. According to Pelissero, the plan is to continue with the rehab process and hopefully avoid surgery. Given Newton’s injury history dating to last season and the fact that he came into this season at less than 100 percent, it would make sense for the organization to take a cautious approach and not rush him back into action. Keeping Cam out will be a much easier decision to make if Kyle Allen continues to play as well as he did in Week 3. This is a multi-week absence for Newton, and it’s entirely possible he doesn’t take the field again this season.
