Saquon Barkley ditches walking boot, expected to miss three-to-five weeks

Saquon Barkley (ankle) wasn't donning a walking boot after Sunday's Week 4 24-3 win against the Redskins. The Giants still expect him to miss another three-to-five weeks. (Ralph Vacchiano on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Barkley has told those in the know that he'll be able to beat his recovery timetable from a right high-ankle sprain. He is trending in the right direction to beat his original four-to-six week timeline. After a second opinion, Barkley didn't require surgery to address his ankle injury. Monitor is his injury status, but this great news for Barkley owners as he will return sooner than originally expected. Wayne Gallman will continue to fill in as the Giants lead back until Barkley returns.
