Sammy Watkins will not play in Week 6

by Anthony Cervino | Sun, Oct 13th 5:36am EDT

ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting Chiefs WR Sammy Watkins (hamstring) will not play in Week 6. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

As expected, Watkins will not play in Sunday's matchup against Houston with the same hamstring injury that knocked him out of last Sunday night's loss to the Colts in the first quarter. With Watkins out and Tyreek Hill's playing status promising but still unknown, Mecole Hardman could be busier than normal. Hardman has drawn at least five targets in each of the past four games and could be employed as a high-end flex option with WR2 upside or better if he goes ballistic facing a Texans defense surrendering the ninth-most fantasy points to wide receivers at a 26.6 FPPG pace.
