New England Patriots annihilate New York Giants offense

by Mark Leipold | Patriots Correspondent | Sun, Oct 13th 10:04am EDT

The New England Patriots surrendered 14 points (eight if your league factors out turnovers for a score, in this case a fumble return) and 213 yards of offense in their Week 6 win over the Giants. The defense recovered one fumble and intercepted three passes, but just one sack. However, the D/ST scored on both a blocked punt and a fumble return, making for a huge day.

Fantasy Impact:

The Patriots have not yet faced and very strong teams, but their defense has been nothing short of elite, and the schedule should not discredit their performance. In fantasy teams, they have outscored all wide receivers in most formats, which is mind blowing. It should not take any prodding for owners to use them with extreme confidence in Week 7 against the Jets.
