Chris Thompson ruled out Week 8

Chris Thompson has been ruled out for Week 8's contest against the Vikings due to his toe injury. (Redskins on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Thompson was largely replaced by Wendell Smallwood last week, and that should be the same this week. Still, Smallwood isn't fantasy-relevant given the limited role and difficult matchup against Minnesota. It's unclear when Thompson will be able to return, but hopefully the extended rest following the Thursday night game will allow him to be back for Week 9. He did not practice any day this week ahead of the Vikings' game.
