Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is officially inactive for the team's Week 9 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings as he continues to work his way back from a dislocated kneecap. Matt Moore will start again in his absence. (Mett Derrick on Twitter)

Mahomes has been practicing and attempting to work his way back despite suffering a gruesome knee injury just three weeks ago, but the Chiefs are playing it safe with their franchise quarterback. He has a chance to return for the team's Week 10 matchup against the Tennessee Titans.
