Olivier Vernon (knee) ruled out for Week 12

Cleveland Browns defensive end Olivier Vernon has been ruled out for Week 12 against the Miami Dolphins. (NFL.com)

Fantasy Impact:

Vernon being absent in a game where Myles Garrett and Larry Ogunjobi are both suspended could be big news for the Dolphins backfield. Kalen Ballage has struggled for much of the season, but backups Patrick Laird and Myles Gaskin could get some more run today, with the former looking to be first in line for an expanded role. Ryan Fitzpatrick will also have considerably more time to throw than he would if the Browns had their three star defensive lineman active.
