Former Buffalo Bills running back C.J. Spiller has joined the Saints, signing a 4 year / $18 million contract, including $9 million guaranteed and a $5 million signing bonus. (ESPN)
Fantasy Impact:
Spiller is talented, but joins a committee that currently includes newly re-signed Mark Ingram and Khiry Robinson. Rumors of the Saints "hosting a firesale" continue to swirl as they ship off Jimmy Graham and Kenny Stills. Long story short, this offense is in a turbulent state and Spiller's usage for next year remains unclear. A Darren Sproles-esque role apppears to be most likely for Spiller, which would likely push Spiller to the mid-late rounds on draft day in most leagues.
