Cam Newton to remain the starter in Carolina 'as of now'

According to a report from NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the Carolina Panthers are moving forward with Cam Newton as their starting quarterback. Rapoport does add, however, that Newton is still months away from being game-ready as he continues to rehab his foot injury and that "a lot can still happen in the coming months." Fantasy Impact:
While it is certainly not a sure thing, and there is always the possibility that the Panthers are merely putting this news out there as a smokescreen ahead of the NFL Draft, it sounds like there will be one fewer quarterback available in what could be a crowded free-agent quarterback market this offseason.
