Dante Pettis: 49ers hoping 2019 was 'wake-up call' for WR

49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan hopes 2019 was a wake-up call for wide receiver Dante Pettis. The team hopes for improvement this preseason or fears Pettis could fade away into irrelevance. (The Athletic)
Fantasy Impact:
Shanahan made it clear that he needs Pettis to step up unless he wants to be left behind. He's already been surpassed by 2019 rookie Deebo Samuel, and tight end George Kittle will continue to see a large target share. Pettis is an interesting flier entering 2020 drafts, but it's far from a given that he'll return to fantasy relevance this season.
