Kyle Allen re-signs with Panthers

The Panthers have re-signed quarterback Kyle Allen to a one-year contract. (Around the NFL on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Allen will return to the Panthers as the expected backup to Cam Newton, at least for now. While Allen started 12 games in 2019 for the injured Newton, he underwhelmed after a solid start. The team could add a veteran QB via free agency or draft a rookie that would also push Allen for backup duties. Allen isn't fantasy relevant at this point given his lack of a clear starting role entering the new season.
