This news comes just moments after the Bears announced that they are signing Robert Quinn to a five-year deal to play opposite of Khalil Mack. Floyd has showed some promise throughout with career as an athletic pass-rusher, but his fifth-year option was a bit to much for the Bears' liking and they will let him walk. Floyd will almost certainly be signed to a new team within the coming days. After 7.0 sacks his rookie season in 12 games, he failed to crack more than 4.5 in a season and saw his sack total regress in each of his four seasons as a pro. Still, a change of scenery can help the former first-rounder get his career back on track. Best case scenario for Floyd would be to land somewhere where he'll have a limited role and good coaching.
