Devin Singletary to be used as a ‘workhorse’ back this season?

by Adam Koffler | Giants Correspondent | Thu, Apr 9th 7:40am EDT

During an interview with Mike Florio, Bills GM Brandon Beane said that the hamstring injury last season cost Singletary a chance at 1,000 yards and that Devin can “be the workload guy” this upcoming season. (ProFootballTalk on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

With Frank Gore now gone, Singletary sits atop the depth chart in Buffalo, with T.J. Yeldon and Taiwan Jones following far behind the second-year RB. Singletary showed flashes of brilliance last year, especially toward the end of the season when it mattered most. He ended the year with a very respectable 5.1 ypc and GM Beane believes “year two is going to be better for him.” With the addition of WR Stefon Diggs, this offense is poised to make some noise, giving Singletary a chance at high-end RB2 numbers this season. He’s currently ranked RB18 in FantasyPros consensus rankings.
