Todd Gurley will not be a workhorse for the Falcons

Newly acquired free agent running back Todd Gurley is going to be part of the mix for Falcons, not a workhorse according to general manager Thomas Dimitroff. (Pro Football Talk)
Fantasy Impact:
Given the 1-year/$6M contract and Gurley's injury history, it wasn't expected that he would get a huge workload but the Falcons have corroborated that hunch with Dimitroff's recent comments. Brian Hill started two lackluster games last season, his third year in the league. Second-year running back Ito Smith has held a change-of-pace role over his time in Atlanta. While Gurley is best-equipped to handle the starting duties, the Falcons will take a cautious approach and use a committee. Gurley's upside cannot be ignored, but he's a RB2 for now.
