Seahawks GM John Schneider has not kept his first-round pick in the last eight years, opting either to trade down or trade for veteran talent instead. (ProFootballTalk on Twitter)
A GM told Peter King that there are only two sure things in this year’s draft, “Joe Burrow to the Bengals and John Schneider trades down in the first round.” Seattle understands the premium that comes with a “first-round” selection, so if they are able to trade the 27th pick, they’ll likely be trading down to acquire more assets or a veteran player to help fill a void. The Seahawks could use some help in the trenches to bolster both their offensive and defensive lines. Look for them to draft accordingly in a couple of weeks.
