The Jaguars envision Laviska Shenault Jr. as a gadget player. “You can put him in the backfield. He can play Wildcat,” said Jaguars’ Head Coach Doug Marrone. “You can put him as the F tight end. You can do a lot of things with him.” (Michael DiRocco of ESPN )

Fantasy Impact:

Shenault Jr. was selected 42nd overall by the Jaguars in the NFL 2020 Draft. He was a wide receiver in college, but the Jaguars are exploring the idea of using him as a gadget player. Shenault Jr. totaled 10 receiving touchdowns, and seven rushing scores in his college career. “You see it on the tape in 2018 and 2019. That’s one of the things we looked at,” Marrone added. “We went back there and I said (to Shenault), Look, we can do all those things but the whole key is going to be how you grasp it, how well you pick it up. Because if he can, make no mistake about it, we want to be able to do those things.” Shenault Jr. is currently 73rd among all wide receivers in the latest expert consensus rankings.
