Ravens GM Eric DeCosta views second-round pick RB J.K. Dobbins as an “extremely durable three-down back.” (Jamison Hensley on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

The former Ohio State running back has landed in the perfect spot for his future fantasy value. Mark Ingram II should still begin the season as the “starter” in Baltimore, but the team has said they hope to utilize all of their running backs, including Dobbins, Gus Edwards, and Justice Hill. Dobbins is getting extremely high praise from the team recently, being called a “first-round talent” and now a “three-down back.” He’s ranked #34, compared to Ingram’s #21 in FantasyPros consensus RB rankings for this season, but Dobbins comes in at RB #16 in Dynasty rankings, with a chance to become an RB1 in future years with QB Lamar Jackson running the RPO in Baltimore.
