Cowboys pass-rusher Aldon Smith has been officially reinstated by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell after the two met recently via videoconference. Smith is eligible to participate in virtual off-season team activities immediately. (Ed Werder on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Smith is officially back after not having played in the NFL since 2015 after numerous legal issues and suspensions over the course of the last five years. When he plays, he’s dominant, and hopefully he can remain clean and on a good path in Dallas. If he can do that, he’ll provide the Cowboys with some serious juice on the defensive line. In his five year NFL career, Smith has totaled 180 tackles and a whopping 47.5 sacks.
