Tyrod Taylor will almost ‘certainly be the Week 1 starter’

QB Tyrod Taylor will almost “certainly be the Week 1 starter, barring an injury or something unforeseen,” per Daniel Popper of the Athletic. (Daniel Popper of the Athletic )

Fantasy Impact:

“I think Taylor will start at at least eight games this season, both because the Chargers are preaching patience above all else with QB Justin Hebert,” Popper added. Chargers HC Anthony Lynn recently stated that Taylor is not viewed as a “bridge QB.” The 30-year-old is expected to be the team’s starting QB for at least the first few weeks. His rushing ability gives him QB2 appeal, and he should be drafted in all Super-flex/Two-QB league formats. Taylor is currently 30th among all quarterbacks in the latest expert consensus rankings.
