Dak Prescott reportedly turned down a five-year, $175M deal from Cowboys

According to NFL Analyst Chris Simms, QB Dak Prescott turned down a five-year, $175M deal from the Dallas Cowboys and is seeking “north of $45M” in the final year of his new deal. (Chris Simms)

Fantasy Impact:

The deal would have made Prescott the highest paid QB in NFL history. It seems like Prescott and his agency remain steadfast on a particular number and are unwilling to move off that figure. Prescott will play this season on the franchise tag that will pay him $33M, but he’s still hoping to sign a long-term extension prior to the July 15 deadline. Prescott is currently ranked as the #3 QB in FantasyPros expert consensus rankings, and should be the next QB taken in fantasy leagues this season after Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes.
