Hyde can earn up to $4 million on his one-year deal. The Seahawks were looking to add a veteran RB, and ultimately decided on Hyde. With Chris Carson and Rashaad Penny both rehabbing from injuries, Hyde becomes key RB depth for the Seahawks. It’s possible that Penny (knee) could start on the PUP list. Hyde will most likely be an early-down complement to Carson. The 29-year-old logged 245 carries for 1,070 yards and six touchdowns across 16 games for the Texans in 2019. Hyde is a handcuff for Carson and could be borderline droppable if Penny is able to return by Week 1.
