Devonta Freeman willing to ‘sit out or skip’ the 2020 season?

by Brad Camara | Fri, May 22nd 7:13pm EDT

Devonta Freeman is willing to “sit out or skip the season” if he does not get the deal he is looking for, per Mike Silver of the NFL Network. (Mike Silver on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Freeman recently turned down a one-year, $4 million offer from the Seahawks and believes he is worth more than what is being offered. The Seahawks recently signed Carlos Hyde, leaving the Eagles or Jets as a possible landing spot. It is unlikely that Freeman will receive a better offer than the one he got from the Seahawks. The 28-year-old could sit out the season as he continues to weigh out his options. It remains to be seen if Freeman will sign with a team, but the veteran is looking to secure a better contract. Freeman ran for 657 yards on 184 carries and hauled in 59 catches for 410 yards with six touchdowns across 14 games for the Falcons in 2019.
