Tennessee Titans RB Darrynton Evans is expected to replace and be an upgrade over former Titans RB Dion Lewis, according to TennesseeTitans.com senior writer Jim Wyatt. (TennesseeTitans.com)

Fantasy Impact:

After letting Lewis go to the New York Giants via free agency, the Titans selected Evans with the 93rd overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Wyatt reported that offensive coordinator Arthur Smith spoke very highly of the Appalachian State product recently and that he’s looking forward to utilizing Evans’ playmaking ability to complement Derrick Henry’s role as the bell-cow in the offense. Evans will be used to spell King Henry at times, but don’t expect anything close to a timeshare between the two backs. However, we should expect Evans to produce and be more involved in the offense than Lewis was last season. He is a must-handcuff for all Henry fantasy owners in re-draft leagues and is a very intriguing and longer-term option in dynasty leagues, especially given Henry is playing on a one-year franchise tag in 2020.
