Jalen Reagor’s best shot at playing time in the slot?

by Adam Koffler | Patriots Correspondent | Tue, Jun 9th 9:35am EDT

According to Eagles beat writer Mike Kaye, first-round draft pick WR Jalen Reagor is likely to take a backseat to veteran WR DeSean Jackson at the Z receiver position this season, therefore his best chance at significant playing time could come from the slot position. (NJ.com)

Fantasy Impact:

Kaye writes that Reagor is likely to learn multiple positions within the offense, unlike how the Eagles approached J.J. Arcega-Whiteside’s role in the offense last season. With Jackson healthy at the Z, Reagor is likely to be in competition with Greg Ward and Marquise Goodwin for snaps in the slot. The Eagles run 12-personnel quite often, with only two WRs on the field in addition to their tight end duo of Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert. Expectations for Reagor should be tempered in his rookie season, but fantasy owners in dynasty leagues should give him a hard look as a top-5 rookie WR.
