According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, All-Pro DE Myles Garrett and the Cleveland Browns are actively engaged in talks surrounding a long-term contract extension. (Mary Kay Cabot on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

The Browns exercised Garrett’s fifth-year option in April that will pay him $15.2M in 2021, that is unless a long-term contract extension can be worked out prior to July 15. Browns GM Andrew Berry told 105.7 The Fan Baltimore last month that "we do see Myles as a long-term member and pillar in our organization. Great player, great person. Obviously, he did make a mistake last year that he's learned from. But our confidence in and faith in Myles has not wavered and we're looking to seeing what he does this year and certainly for years to come.'' Apparently, Cleveland also hasn’t given up on Jadeveon Clowney either, according to sources. If the Browns can secure Garrett for the long-term and bring in Clowney as well, they’re going to have one of, if not the best, defensive lines in the NFL.
