Ben Roethlisberger: Mike Tomlin says his QB is ‘pleased’ with progress

by Adam Koffler | Tue, Jun 23rd 1:00pm EDT

Mike Tomlin told reporters on Tuesday that QB Ben Roethlisberger is “comfortable and pleased where he is [with his rehab from Tommy John surgery].” (Gerry Dulac on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Some people who had the opportunity to work with him are impressed and pleased where he is. The medical experts are comfortable where he is and his readiness for 2020,” said Tomlin. Sounds like Big Ben will be all systems go for training camp and preparations for the upcoming season. Roethlisberger should be considered a high-end QB2 with obvious QB1 upside if he’s healthy and firing on all cylinders. The fantasy value of the Steelers pass-catchers is also tied to a healthy Roethlisberger, so hopefully we’ll see positive production from guys like JuJu Smith-Schuster, Diontae Johnson, James Washington, and Eric Ebron with a healthy Big Ben.
