The Seattle Times is reporting that free agent DE Jadeveon Clowney’s odds of re-signing with the Seahawks are “likely increasing.” (Seattle Times)

Fantasy Impact:

Clowney is reportedly seeking a deal worth $15-$16 million per season. Oliver Vernon just restructured his contract, taking the Browns out of the Clowney sweepstakes. “Seattle isn’t going to offer Clowney $15-16 million a year or so as it originally did,” per the Seattle Times. But the Seahawks can still offer a one-year deal that would allow Clowney to return to a place he feels comfortable and maybe set himself up for another run at free agency in 2021.” The Raiders were reportedly also interested in signing in Clowney, but no official offer was made. The 27-year-old is completely recovered from core muscle surgery this off-season and is looking to secure a new deal. Clowney racked up 31 tackles, three sacks, four forced fumbles and one interception across 13 games for the Seahawks in 2019. Stay tuned.
