Derrick Henry and Titans not on the verge of extension agreement

by Adam Koffler | Ravens Correspondent | Wed, Jul 8th 4:25pm EDT

According to Titans insider Terry McCormick, franchise RB Derrick Henry and the team are not on the verge of coming to an agreement on an extension. (Titan Insider)

Fantasy Impact:

If the Titans and Henry can’t come to an agreement by July 15, the workhorse back will play the 2020 season on the franchise tag he signed back in the Spring, worth $10.278M. Henry won the rushing title last season with 1,540 yards and 16 TDs. As he’s signed the tag already, there’s no worry about a possible holdout from Henry as we approach training camp later this month. It’s possible talks heat up this week heading into the deadline to work out an extension, but as of now, nothing seems imminent.
