Jonnu Smith the Titans ‘undisputed TE1’ heading into 2020

According to Jim Wyatt of TennesseeTitans.com, TE Jonnu Smith is the “undisputed TE1” heading into the 2020 season. (TennesseeTitans.com)

Fantasy Impact:

Smith no longer has to share the field and compete for targets with long-time Titans veteran TE Delanie Walker, who currently finds himself as a free agent at 35 years old. Last season, after Walker went down in Week 7 due to injury, Smith saw a drastic increase in both snap count and target share. He saw 33 targets in seven games between Weeks 8 and 16. Smith caught 26 of his 33 targets (78.8% catch rate). Extend that out across 16 games, and Smith could have had 60+ catches on 75+ targets. He’s likely to see that this season as the unquestioned top TE in Tennessee, which could lead to a top-10 performance at the position. He’s currently being drafted as the 17th TE off the board, but has a good chance to outperform his ADP.
