Dalvin Cook expected to report to training camp next week

On a Zoom call Saturday, Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer told reporters that star RB Dalvin Cook is expected to report to training camp next week. (Stacey Dales on Twitter)

When asked, Zimmer said he was told “by him [Cook]. This is a big piece of news on a quiet NFL Saturday. There were rumors Cook might hold out, but that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. Fantasy owners will still want to handcuff Cook with Alexander Mattison this season, but this is great news for anyone who’s already drafted Cook. He should be considered in the 2nd tier of RBs after Christian McCaffrey, Saquon Barkley, Ezekiel Elliott, and Alvin Kamara.
