J'Mar Smith waived by New England

The Patriots elected to trim their roster down to 80 players in advance of the August 16th deadline, and Smith was one of nine causalities. He played college ball at Louisianna Tech and was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Patriots on May 5th. (CBS Sports)
Fantasy Impact:
Smith will hope to land on a practice roster player for the 2020 season. The Patriots will enter training camp with Cam Newton, Jarrett Stidham and Brian Hoyer at quarterback.
