Free agent WR Antonio Brown will be suspended eight games without pay, per Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network. His suspension will take place regardless of whether he’s on an NFL roster. (Tom Pelissero on Twitter )
Brown’s eight game suspension “closes the NFL personal conduct investigation into a felony case involving a truck driver, an allegation by an artist,” Pelissero added. His investigation for into allegations made by a former trainer are ongoing. AB has a hearing scheduled September 15th. The saga is finally over after an ongoing 18 month battle. Teams willing to give Brown a chance now know he will be out at half the season. If he signs before the 2020 campaign, AB will be eligible to participate in the club’s preseason activities. AB will look to latch onto a team during training camp and officially miss the first eight contests of the 2020 NFL season.
