Fantasy Impact:
Thomas is expected to be the Panthers top tight end this season, with former starter Greg Olsen signing with the Seahawks this offseason. Rhule also states that Chris Manhertz is one of the league’s best blocking tight ends. Thomas has shown flashes of fantasy upside, hauling in 16 catches on 30 targets for 136 yards and one touchdown across 16 games while splitting snaps with Olsen in 2019. The 24-year-old is worth drafting in TE premium leagues and is currently 22nd among all tight ends in the latest expert consensus rankings.
