Jalen Hurd progressing well, but will be brought back slowly

49ers second-year WR Jalen Hurd looks good in practice as he works his way back from a back fracture that sidelined him for the entirety of the 2019 season, however, he will he brought back slowly, according to Kyle Shanahan. (Cam Inman on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Many people are expecting Hurd to breakout this season after Deebo Samuel went down earlier in the offseason with a foot injury that will likely sideline him for a few weeks to begin the season. Hurd reportedly will play the slot for San Francisco in 2020, which could yield solid production in Shanahan’s system, but it sounds like he’ll be on a pitch count early on this season. Temper expectations at first until we see those restrictions lifted on Hurd.
